It all began years ago when LightsOut Events was brought in to provide lighting and sound for a mid-October festival called Kinda Spoopy at Red River Campground in Adams, Tennessee. Because of the scale and ambition of the production, our team rolled in early—RVs, production trailers, lighting rigs, sound systems—the whole traveling circus—parking on site nearly a week in advance to build out the stages and transform the grounds.

Cold October temperatures eventually pushed Kinda Spoopy to the first weekend of October, but the early arrival tradition stayed the same. We’d drop gear, head back to Nashville for the night, and return to finish the build.

One year, when we came back, everything had changed.

The campground had filled with tie-dye, familiar faces, and longtime festival family—Tie Dye Fest had arrived. Our RV and gear trailer were parked next to a veteran attendee named Mark Ashby, who became an instant friend. Conversations turned into connections. Connections turned into music. And before long, a spontaneous welcome party came to life—powered by next-level sound, immersive lighting, and pure festival energy.

What started as an impromptu campground gathering grew year after year. Bigger sound. Bolder lighting. Stronger community.

Eventually, it became clear:
this needed a stage of its own.

That moment was the birth of Red River Rave.
A few years back, we officially claimed our space and moved across the road to what we lovingly call “the back 40.” From there, Red River Rave evolved into an otherworldly experience—an immersive, PLUR-driven, witchy EDM sanctuary featuring glowing tree lighting, lasers cutting through the night, and a powerful main stage with sound that hits you in the chest and stays in your soul.

Today, Red River Rave is growing like wildfire—and so are we.

Our production, bookings, artists, and vision continue to expand, but the heart remains the same: love, inclusivity, compassion, and community. Artists and vendors partner with us to create something unforgettable. We showcase Nashville’s vibrant EDM scene alongside artists on the cusp of greatness, giving them a stage where magic can happen.

Red River Rave takes place every year on the third weekend of September at Red River Campground in Adams, TN. It’s not just a festival—it’s a gathering, a rite, a shared frequency.

Red River Rave unfolds across two complementary environments — the high-energy festival grounds and a fully dedicated wellness sanctuary — creating a balance of movement and stillness, sound and silence.

The Main Stage (Ember Stage)
When the sun sets, the energy rises.

The main stage delivers the full power of Red River Rave — a massive sound system paired with immersive, festival-scale lighting design. DJs and live performers guide the crowd through deep grooves, uplifting melodies, and high-energy late-night moments.

Expect mind-bending visuals, powerful bass, and a dancefloor filled with connection and movement.

Sets run deep into the night and into the early morning hours, building toward unforgettable shared experiences beneath the lights.

The Flow Stage & Wellness Grounds
On the opposite side of the campground, a completely different energy emerges.

This dedicated wellness space is home to the Flow Stage — a carefully curated environment featuring downtempo EDM, ambient music, and chill house. Here, music becomes a journey rather than a peak, creating a space to move, breathe, and reset.

Nearby, the covered pavilion transforms into a Sanctuary of Healing, where guided experiences take place throughout the weekend.

The entire space is designed to feel intentional, calm, and restorative — a place to step away from intensity and reconnect with yourself.

The Vortex Forest
Hidden beneath the trees, behind the main stage, the Vortex Forest becomes a natural retreat woven into the festival grounds.

Soft lighting and ambient soundscapes transform the woods into a peaceful environment that remains open day and night.

This space is purely organic — no scheduled programming, no structure — just a place to slow down.

Guests are invited to:

It’s a space for unstructured presence — a reminder to breathe, wander, and simply exist within the moment.

The Red River
The river itself becomes a place of reflection, healing, and renewal.

During the weekend, guests gather along the water for a simple but powerful ritual. Write a worry, challenge, or burden onto a small stone and cast it into the flowing river — letting the current carry away what no longer serves you.
